As is the story of my life today found me worrying about the munchkin once again. I got on the scale bright and early this morning and noticed that I still have not gained one pound from when I got pregnant. Now granted, I was a good 15 to 20 lbs overweight when I started, but I just figured by this point I would be starting to "grow."

So when I talked to Katie this afternoon I mentioned this to her and she, as always, was very reassuring. The baby will get what it needs from you and don't worry about not "growing" you are changing more than you realize.

However, just for good measure I went home after work and downed 3/4 of a small cheese pizza. Then once Jake got home I pulled out the doppler. Sure enough there s/he was. Right below my belly button. Once I heard that ka-thunk, ka-thunk I instantly felt 100% better. Now if I could just feel some movement!!

Ok so this might not be much better...

But I wasn't exactly underweight before getting pregnant - I just wasn't really an ounce heavier than I should have been.... and I've gained 20 freakin pounds so far. So I am not sure what's worse... not seeing the scale move at all OR seeing it move A LOT!!

They say if you are underweight/at weight you'll gain more than if you are overweight. And if you think you're overweight it might take some time to feel the baby move.

However do not fear.... this baby will be just fine regardless of your weight - you are eating and taking care of yourself! And that is what matters!

I too had the meat issue... couldn't eat an ounce of it unitl around week 17 or 18...

Just eat peanut butter for the protein and you'll be fine!

You said yourself in the last entry that your eatinghabits have changed. If you had changed your eating habits prior to getting pregnant you would have lost weight, but because you changed them while being pregnant it results in a stale mate. You do not gain anything because you are eating Healthy... you are not losing because you have a baby growing in there... you are doing great-- STOP WORRYING ABOUT EVERYTHING!
